Your Life Will Be an Accumulation of What You Have Created

"You never have to change anything you got up in the middle of the night to write.” ~Saul Bellow
It took a writer who was inspired by this artist to inspire this artist to write...
The magic of the muse, it never ceases to amaze...

Pillow Lands by Christopher Ryan and Amy Sperry Faldet
A poem for you, from us, as soft as rose petals, to bring you to your own Pillow Land.
Pillow Lands by Christopher
Ryan and Amy Sperry Faldet
Of Camelot she dreams at
night
Bestride a steed, her
Valiant Knight
Hastens ‘cross the emerald
vale
His song, the call of a
Nightingale
Echoes from the
make-believe,
Soft murmurs of a midsummer’s
eve
Ignite the glow of a
thousand faery lights
that shine upon the Pillow
lands tonight
With blossoms turning to
watch them meet, they are toe to toe, breathless, inspired over
meadowsweet. The twinkle of tiny orbs in the branches hover low as she
lays her head upon the pillow. The Pillow Lands, almost, as comforting as
a caress from his hands

Verbs for creating my world...
If this is about enjoying the ride, understanding your self, reflecting on the lights, and the creation of a place that lets you be happy, healthy, and whole...
... I have.
Breathe in, Breathe out... dream, sigh, gather, stand, sit, light, touch, spill, try, make, play, press, sip, nibble, walk, find, seek, brush, reflect, smile... result, always is, and always will be, love from my life, from my heart, in my art.

Be a student... get messy.
I took a class this weekend. The teacher becomes student and bliss is achieved. I got messy. I made mistakes, as Miss Frizzle from The Magic School Bus always advised.
Sabrina Ward Harrison does something called Spill. It may not be new in concept to create modern art with spilled paint and messy media, but, what she helps the student do is to find your part in color. It is essential to grow. To have goals and work towards them makes us healthy.
I wanted last year to use more color, to have a messier time. I did. This year, already, I am pushing further. I want to experience the senses and live with out judging my art and my efforts as a teacher and person. Take a class. Be vulnerable. It will be good to grow out of your old shell and use all you know to help you understand all you don't.

Look into the future...
When we know ourselves, we realize that giving ourselves permission to pursue are goals, is so very healthy. I see those around me, (I have been there, myself) that beat themselves up about not achieving goals they set. Here is what I have noticed about the future... it never comes. Therefore, if you want something the time to do it is now. In order to make that a reality, you must set the machinations in motion, now, not later, not when the kids are grown... now.
Otherwise, you really don't want it or it is not a reality you are willing to create.
The future is not real. Now is.
What we do with our now is what creates our experience. I don't see it any other way anymore.
I have seen how not getting certain jobs or not achieving what I thought I should has led to the most amazing, better, opportunities, doing what I absolutely ADORE!
Why?
Because it is my now and it can be and is where I want to be.

The World of Kindness and Inner Health Walks Hand-in-Hand With The World of Creation
“The Universal view melts things into a blur.” ~Emile Cioran
When you are on the carnival ride of life and the view seems a blur and even scary, it is time to take a breath and look within for what you want to see. Being kind to yourself is what gives you the power to create a kind world for those around you. Give yourself that gift and blur the lines so that your fears disappear.

Staying healthy by understanding what we manifest...
Art by Amy Sperry Faldet
What does that mean?
When I draw or paint it is expression.
I pick up a charcoal pencil and wonder.
There is wonder.
What do I want to express?
The days I do not find a means of expression, are part of me, as well.
We all have days that feel like we authentically participated, that feel like we have brought into the world a better way of looking, thinking.
The days that this doesn't happen, though, can accumulate.
What does that mean?
That is entirely up to me.
Because I teach and because I am a mother of four, as well as, being an artist, I can feel tapped out of energy to express myself.
I sometimes have to remind myself in the depths of exhaustion to be articulate. Yes, it can get that bad.
I can go a week without knowing what to say. I can be so tired I worry I won't ever want to write or create or just be around other humans!
What I have to remember is that is ok.
I do not need to stress that I can't express myself, that I won't be heard.
Maybe sometimes it is exactly what I need.
It is just that, a quiet stretch. It is time to wonder.
It is time to rest and form ideas and see joys.
We can manifest what things mean to us.
When we remember that we are strongest.
